Cleveland Funeral Services is managed by a caring competent staff. J. Robert (Bob) Jones serves as manager of the funeral home. He Graduated from Shelby High School and received his degree in Embalming and Funeral Directing from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and has served the people of Cleveland County for over 48 years. When someone you love dies, you want to turn to someone you can trust. Bob represents the highest standards in funeral service and is dedicated to assisting families during their time of need. Bob is a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Shelby Optimist Club, Shelby Elks Lodge and Cleveland Masonic Lodge 202 and member of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association. He is also a licensed preneed counselor and assists families as they prearrange their funerals. Bob is married to Vickie Valentine Jones and is the father of four daughters,Tammy West & Eric, Melanie Conforti & Craig, Kimberly Evans and Bobbi Wilkinson & Carrey and Six grandchildren Robert West, Grant Adcock, Cheyenne Evans, Gage Evans, Camilla Conforti and Emma Conforti.
M. Steve Hamrick, a native of Cleveland County is a licensed funeral director who has served residents of Cleveland County since 1967. He is a graduate of Shelby High School and Fayetteville Community College. Steve is a caring individual committed to providing professional and compassionate service to those who grieve. He is a licensed preneed Counselor, to assist families with prearrangements He is Chief of Cleveland Volumteer Fire Department. He and his wife Vickie are members of First Baptist Church of Shelby. He is also a member of North Carolina Funeral Directors Association, Cleveland County Firefighters Association, North Carolina Firefighters Association, and North Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs. He and his wife have Two Daughters, Carrie Hamrick and Sally Lewis and one granddaughter Mattie Lewis.
Faye Causby Gantt serves as office manager. She received her degree from Gardner-Webb University and worked in the accounting department of Doran Textiles for over 29 years. She has served as office manager since the opening of the funeral home in 1997. In addition to accounting duties, she is very compassionate to those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one or friend. Because of her love for children, she looks forward to staying in the children's room during visitations. She serves as organist at Double Springs Baptist Church in Shelby and enjoys providing organ or piano selections for funerals as needed. She is married to Johnny Gantt and is the mother of three sons Todd, Scott and Michael Gantt and one grandson Brian Gantt
Bob, Steve and Faye are assisted by the following part-time staff who serve during visitations and funerals: Charlie Cabaniss, Allen Harp, Bob Ingle, Paul Lovelace, Randy Mull, George Rogers, Jerry Ruppe, Richard Stroup, Randy Walker, Gene Wray, and Kay Lovelace. This entire staff is dedicated to providing compassionate care to those they serve.
