Richard B. Lechner was raised in Medford and is a graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 1977. He currently resides in Medford with his wife, Donna, and their four sons, Richard, Jr., Shawn, Ethan, and Jacob. Richard and Donna purchased Lechner Funeral Home in December 1993 from Doug Lewis. Prior to purchasing the funeral home, Richard was employed by Doug Lewis as manager of The Lewis Funeral Homes of Moorestown and Medford.
Richard is President of the Medford Sunrise Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Burlington County Funeral Directors Association, the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, and the Medford Lakes Lions Club.
Donna works in the office at the funeral home. She is a member of the Pinelands Garden Club. Donna is not a licensed funeral director.
Richard and Donna are both members of the Medford Historical Society and the Medford Village Country Club.
Richard B. Lechner, Jr. was licensed in April, 2010. Richard is a graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 2004 and Mercer County Community College, School of Mortuary Sciences, Class of 2009. Richard is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, Medford Lakes Lions Club and the South Jersey Enduro Riders Association. Richard has a daughter, Emily.
